The Mafia has a strict ranking and everybody, no matter whose son or daughter, has to start at the very bottom.
Padrino
The Padrino has become one of the biggest personalities in the Mafia. A Padriono is often a retired Don who is still keeping an eye on the Family. Family comes always first. One can come to the Padrino in search for advice, blessings and help, but he has to be shown ultimate respect and always adressed to as "padrino". The real Godfather.
Don
The Don is the head of a family. He basically runs everything that goes on. Orders hits, thinks of ways to make the family grow, and what deals to be done. Basically every idea has to be brought to the don and only if he aprooves the idea is brought into action. His word is final! You can say the Don has the most difficult job in the Mafia. He has to maintain the respect and discipline inside of the family and has to keep the business running. The Don is also the only person who can declare war on another family.
Underdon
The underdon works directly under the Don and is his direct replacement in times when the Don is unable to make a decision or order. Weather it being because of vacation or illness.
Consiglieres and Advisors
The advisors. They are bound to give absolute UNBIASED advice to the dons and capos. The Consiglieres work for the Don. the Advisors for the Capos. They are to be refered at as "Sir"s
Capos and Primo Capo
Each capo has to maintain the disciplin in his part of the family he looks over. He orders soldiers, but also acts as a guardian and mentor. The Prime Capo is the one all other capos are under. he watches them all and their actions with a lot of care to ensure safety for the family.
Soldiers
Soldiers for one are the lowest rank. YET they are the most importaint rank and they have to be respected. They are the executive cog in the clockwork of a mafia and fulfil the actions.
Associates
People of importaince for the family, requestors, friends, family and buisiness partners are all considered in the Associates rank.
